The ELKHART PRODUCTS FA-112 is a wrought copper female adapter designed to transition from a copper sweat connection to a female threaded fitting. Used in pressure piping systems, this adapter accepts a copper tube on the cup end and a male-threaded pipe or fitting on the female end. The solder-joint construction provides a reliable, leak-resistant seal appropriate for potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing service lines. At 1-1/2 inches, it fits standard nominal copper tube sizes and is manufactured from wrought copper for consistent wall thickness and solder flow. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a copper-to-threaded transition is required. Common applications include connecting copper supply lines to threaded valves, unions, water heaters, pressure gauges, and distribution manifolds. The CxF configuration makes it a standard stock item for service vans and mechanical rooms where copper-to-thread transitions occur frequently. Its wrought construction makes it appropriate for use in concealed or permanent installations where dimensional consistency matters.
Designed as an OEM-style wrought copper female adapter for use with standard 1-1/2 inch nominal copper tubing in residential and commercial pressure piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before soldering, and use only lead-free solder approved for potable water systems where required by code. Allow the joint to cool fully before restoring pressure and inspecting for leaks.
