The ELKHART PRODUCTS ELL-34 is a close-rough 90-degree copper elbow fitting designed for soldered copper pipe systems. Part of the KLEENFIT product line, this fitting is cleaned and bagged at the factory to ensure a contamination-free joint surface right out of the package. The cup-by-cup (C x C) connection accepts standard copper tubing on both ends and is joined using conventional solder technique. At 0.096 pounds, the ELL-34 is a lightweight, reliable fitting suited for tight-radius direction changes in residential and light commercial piping runs. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This 3/4-inch by 3/4-inch elbow is used wherever a 90-degree change of direction is needed in a copper water supply, hydronic heating, or similar fluid-handling system. The close-rough pattern keeps the fitting compact, making it well suited for installations inside walls, ceilings, and mechanical chases where clearance is limited. The KLEENFIT cleaning and bagging process reduces pre-installation prep work on the job site.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 3/4-inch copper tubing in solder-joint piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the water supply and fully dry the pipe ends before soldering. Clean and flux pipe ends per standard practice even though the fitting interior is factory cleaned. Avoid overheating the fitting during soldering, as excess heat can damage the joint or surrounding materials.
