The ELKHART PRODUCTS ELL-1 is a 90-degree close-rough copper elbow fitting designed for soldered copper tubing connections in plumbing and mechanical piping systems. Part of the KLEENFIT product line, this fitting arrives cleaned and bagged to meet cleanliness standards that reduce prep time on the job. It connects using a copper-to-copper (C x C) sweat configuration, making it compatible with standard solder joining methods. At 0.208 pounds and compact in form, it suits tight installation spaces where a full 90-degree directional change in a 1-inch copper line is required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of fitting.
This elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating distribution lines, and mechanical piping applications where 1-inch copper tubing is used. The KLEENFIT cleaning and bagging process is particularly useful in applications where contamination of the pipe interior is a concern, such as potable water systems or high-purity mechanical lines. It carries the Model 107C designation from Elkhart Products.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1-inch copper tubing systems using sweat (solder) connections in residential and commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and fully drain the affected line before cutting or fitting. Use appropriate flux and lead-free solder for potable water systems per code requirements. Do not overheat the fitting during soldering, as excessive heat can damage the copper and compromise the joint.
