Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize and drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean pipe ends and apply flux before soldering; the KLEENFIT pre-cleaned fitting interior eliminates the need to clean the fitting cup but the pipe end still requires standard preparation. Allow the joint to cool fully before restoring water pressure and inspecting for leaks.
