The ELKHART PRODUCTS B07025L is a lead-free 90-degree reducing male elbow designed for copper sweat-to-male pipe thread transitions in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Cast from lead-free brass, this fitting meets modern potable water safety standards and is suited for supply lines, water distribution headers, and fixture rough-in work. The connection type is C x M, meaning the female socket end accepts copper tubing via sweat (solder) joint and the male end is threaded for MPT connections. At 0.188 pounds, it is compact and easy to handle during tight rough-in installations.
This elbow is used wherever a 90-degree directional change is needed while simultaneously reducing from 3/4 inch copper to a 1/2 inch male pipe thread outlet. Typical applications include connecting copper distribution lines to threaded valves, shower arms, fixture supplies, and other MPT-terminated components. It is equally at home in new construction and remodel work where lead-free materials are required by code.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting compatible with 3/4 inch copper tubing sweat connections and 1/2 inch male pipe thread fittings in residential and commercial potable water plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and fully depressurize and drain the line before soldering. Clean and flux both the copper tubing and the socket end of the fitting before applying heat. The male pipe thread end should be wrapped with thread seal tape or pipe dope prior to assembly with the mating MPT fitting.
