The ELKHART PRODUCTS 1 1/4" COP is a wrot copper 45-degree elbow fitting designed for sweat-solder copper tubing systems. Built to Model 106 specifications, it accepts 1-1/4-inch copper tube on both ends in a cup-by-cup (C x C) configuration. At 0.229 pounds and compact dimensions, this fitting is a standard component in residential and light commercial plumbing rough-in work. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting when routing copper supply lines around structural obstacles or making directional changes at 45-degree angles. The wrot construction delivers consistent wall thickness and clean solder joints.
This elbow is suited for potable water supply lines, hydronic heating distribution piping, and general copper tube installations where a 45-degree direction change is required. The C x C end connections are compatible with standard 1-1/4-inch copper tubing and accept 95/5, lead-free solder per applicable plumbing codes. It is commonly used in both new construction and retrofit applications where the installer needs a reliable, code-compliant copper fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style wrot copper replacement fitting for 1-1/4-inch C x C solder connections in residential and commercial copper plumbing systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local amendments. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean tube ends and fitting cups with emery cloth or a fitting brush, apply lead-free flux, and sweat-solder the joint using a propane or MAP-gas torch. Never apply heat to a joint that still contains water, as steam pressure can cause a failed seal.
