The ELK elk-999 is a 130-piece pack of double-faced closed cell foam tape designed for mounting electronic components in security and low-voltage systems. Each piece features an aggressive pressure-sensitive permanent adhesive on both sides, providing a secure bond without mechanical fasteners. The tape is 1/4 inch thick and flexible, allowing it to conform to irregular or uneven surfaces. Low-voltage installers and security technicians use this tape to quickly and cleanly mount components during system installation.
This tape is suited for residential and light commercial low-voltage installations where mechanical fasteners are impractical or undesirable. Common applications include mounting relays, siren drivers, and other small electronic devices to enclosure walls, backboards, and other surfaces. The closed cell foam construction resists compression and maintains a consistent bond over time across a variety of substrates.
Designed for use with relays, siren drivers, and other low-voltage electronic devices commonly found in security and alarm system installations.
Installation is typically performed by low-voltage technicians and security system installers. Clean and dry the mounting surface before applying tape to ensure maximum adhesion. Once the permanent adhesive makes contact, repositioning is difficult, so confirm placement before pressing firmly. Follow local low-voltage installation codes and manufacturer device mounting guidelines when securing system components.
