The ELECTRO HARDWARE S505M17F16H is a round, female unthreaded circuit board spacer designed to maintain consistent standoff clearance between a PCB and a mounting surface. Sized at 0.125 inches overall length with a 0.171 inches inside diameter and 0.25 inches outside diameter, this spacer accepts a No. 8 screw and installs without threading into the body. Molded from Nylon Grade 101 per MIL-P-17091B and left uncoated, it resists corrosion and electrical conductivity concerns common with metal standoffs. Electronics assemblers and field technicians use these to secure control boards inside HVAC equipment, electrical enclosures, and other trade hardware.
This spacer is suited for residential and light commercial applications wherever a No. 8 fastener is used to mount a circuit board. Typical install scenarios include HVAC control board mounting, low-voltage panel assemblies, and general electronic enclosure builds where a non-conductive, precision-length standoff is required. The tight length tolerance of -0.005 to 0.005 inches ensures consistent board seating across a full assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation spacer for circuit board assemblies using No. 8 screw fasteners in inch-measurement systems.
Install by electronics assemblers or qualified technicians during control board service or replacement. Power down and de-energize the equipment fully before removing or installing any circuit board hardware. No special tools are required beyond a No. 8 fastener driver; do not overtighten, as the nylon body can deform under excess clamping load. Minimum order quantity for this part is 100 units.
