The ELECTRO HARDWARE P537M07F16-440 is a round female standoff designed for use in precision fastening and panel-mounting applications. Machined from 18-8 and Grade 303 stainless steel with a bright finish, this standoff provides corrosion resistance and dimensional consistency where it matters most. It features a 4-40 thread size with a 1/2 inch thread depth, a 5/8 inch overall length, and a 1/4 inch outside diameter. The fully threaded female configuration accepts standard 4-40 male fasteners on both ends, making it a straightforward solution for stacking boards, mounting panels, or maintaining fixed spacing between components in assemblies built to tight tolerances.
This standoff is suited for electronic enclosures, control panels, instrumentation racks, and light mechanical assemblies where a compact, corrosion-resistant spacer is required. The inch-based dimensioning and QQ-S-763 compliance make it appropriate for both commercial and government-specification work. Electricians, panel builders, and electronics assembly technicians are the most common installers. The small form factor fits high-density layouts where a 1/4 inch OD profile is necessary to avoid interference with adjacent components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation standoff for assemblies requiring a 4-40 thread, 5/8 inch overall length, round female stainless steel spacer conforming to QQ-S-763.
Installation is performed by hand or with standard hex drivers appropriate for the 4-40 thread size. De-energize any panel or control board completely before installing or removing standoffs in live electrical enclosures. Avoid over-torquing small-diameter stainless fasteners, as galling can occur without lubrication or anti-seize compound on the threads. Follow applicable NEC or equipment manufacturer guidelines for fastener spacing and grounding continuity in electrical panels.
