The ELECTRO HARDWARE P405M06F16256 is a female hex circuit board standoff machined from aluminum alloy to a 2-56 thread size. It provides a threaded female receptacle on both ends, allowing printed circuit boards to be mounted and spaced at a fixed distance from a chassis or stacked against a second board. The overall length is 2 inches with a hex body width across flats of 3/16 inches, giving a compact profile suited to tight PCB enclosures. The plain, bright uncoated finish meets QQ-A-225A Comp 2 material standards. Electronics assemblers and electrical technicians are the primary installers of this fastener in control panel and PCB assembly work.
This standoff is used in residential and commercial electronic control assemblies, including HVAC control boards, industrial PCB enclosures, and electrical panel subassemblies where consistent board-to-surface spacing is required. The 2-inch overall length makes it appropriate for applications requiring moderate standoff height between a circuit board and a mounting surface or between stacked boards. The 3/16-inch thread depth on each end accepts 2-56 machine screws. The hex body shape allows installation and removal with a standard hex wrench or nut driver.
Designed as an OEM-style hardware replacement or new-build component for circuit board assemblies requiring a 2-56 female hex standoff with a 2-inch overall length and a hex body measuring 3/16 inches across flats.
Installation is performed by electronics assemblers or licensed electricians working on control board assemblies. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before working on any circuit board or control panel. Use a properly sized hex wrench or nut driver matched to the 3/16-inch flats to avoid rounding the body. Do not overtighten mating screws beyond the point of firm seating, as aluminum threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
