The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMX1707M09MSC-1 is a male-male hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs, mounting plates, and enclosure panels. Threaded M5 x 0.8 on both ends, it provides a secure, fully engaged fastening point on each side without requiring a separate nut. The hex body measures 10 mm across flats, allowing a standard wrench or socket for installation and removal. Overall body length is 6 mm, keeping the standoff compact in tight assemblies. Manufactured from Grade 18-8 / 303 stainless steel with a passivated finish, it resists corrosion in demanding environments and meets the QQ-S-763 fastener standard. This part is sold individually.
This standoff is used in electronic enclosure assemblies, control panel fabrication, and circuit board mounting applications where a rigid male-to-male threaded connection is required. It is appropriate for industrial controls, HVAC control board assemblies, electrical panel builds, and similar trade applications where metric M5 fasteners are specified. The passivated stainless steel construction makes it suitable for environments with elevated humidity or mild corrosive exposure. Thread length options of 9 mm, 9.5 mm, and 10 mm provide installation flexibility depending on mating hardware depth.
Designed as an OEM-style metric standoff for circuit board and panel mounting applications requiring M5 x 0.8 male-male threaded hardware.
Installation is performed by electricians, electronics technicians, and control panel builders. De-energize all circuits and discharge any stored voltage before working inside enclosures or on circuit boards. Use an appropriate metric wrench or hex socket to torque the standoff against its mating hardware — avoid over-tightening, which can damage PCB mounting holes or strip stainless threads. Follow applicable NEC or IEC panel-construction guidelines for the specific enclosure type.
