The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMX1635M09-MSC is a male-male hex circuit board standoff used to create fixed spacing between PCBs or between a PCB and a chassis panel. Both ends carry M4 x 0.7 threaded studs, and the hexagonal body allows installation and removal with standard hex tooling. The standoff has a 20 mm overall length with a 20 mm body length and thread lengths ranging from 8.5 mm to 9.5 mm. Constructed from Grade 18-8 303 stainless steel with a passivated finish, it meets QQ-S-763 specification. Electronics assembly technicians and PCB integrators working in industrial, HVAC control, or electrical panel applications install this type of hardware during board-level assembly and field service.
This standoff is suited for metric M4 applications wherever a rigid, corrosion-resistant board spacer is required. Common installation environments include HVAC control board assemblies, electrical enclosures, and industrial automation panels where stainless steel hardware is specified for its resistance to oxidation and its compatibility with passivation requirements. The hex body shape allows a wrench or hex driver to hold the standoff body while torquing the mating fastener, making it practical in confined panel spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style metric standoff for circuit board assemblies requiring M4 x 0.7 male-male hex standoffs with a 20 mm body length in stainless steel construction.
Install using a wrench or hex driver sized to the 8 mm width across flats to prevent body rotation during thread engagement. Power down and de-energize any circuit board or panel assembly completely before installing or removing board-level hardware. Avoid over-torquing threaded studs into PCB inserts, as stainless steel fasteners in metal inserts can gall if lubrication is not applied. Follow applicable enclosure and PCB assembly documentation for required standoff torque ranges and spacing specifications.
