The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMX1406M09-MSC is a male-male hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise spacing between PCB layers or between a board and a mounting surface. Threaded M3 x 0.5 on both ends, this standoff features a hex body shape that allows installation and removal with standard hex tooling. The overall length is 5.5 mm, the body length is 5.5 mm, and the thread length ranges from 5 mm to 6 mm depending on engagement. Manufactured from Grade 18-8 303 stainless steel with a passivated finish, it meets QQ-S-763 fastener standards for corrosion resistance and dimensional consistency.
This standoff is suited for electronic assemblies requiring metric hardware, including industrial control boards, HVAC control panels, electrical enclosures, and general PCB mounting applications. The M3 x 0.5 thread size is a widely used metric pitch in circuit board and enclosure work. The passivated stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for environments where light corrosion resistance is required. Do not over-torque; stainless steel fasteners are susceptible to galling if driven without proper technique.
