The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMF1827M06F16M4 is an aluminum male-female hex circuit board standoff designed for metric fastening applications in electronic assemblies and control panels. With an M4x0.7 thread size, a 27.53 mm (1.084 inches) overall length, and a 6 mm (0.236 inches) width across flats, this standoff provides the mechanical spacing and threaded engagement required to stack or mount PCBs securely. The body is uncoated bright aluminum conforming to QQ-A-225A Comp 2, Grade T3, making it suitable for environments where a clean, non-coated surface finish is acceptable. It is installed by electronics assemblers, controls technicians, and panel builders working in HVAC controls, industrial enclosures, and similar applications.
This standoff is used in residential and commercial control panel assemblies wherever printed circuit boards require rigid, repeatable spacing from a mounting surface or from another board. The male threaded post on one end accepts a mating nut or female standoff, while the female threaded end receives a machine screw, allowing modular stacking. The hex body shape allows tightening with a standard wrench or nut driver, a common requirement in production assembly and field service environments alike.

Installation is performed by electronics assemblers or controls technicians using a nut driver or open-end wrench sized to the 6 mm hex body. De-energize and discharge any control board or panel fully before installing or removing standoffs in live assemblies. Avoid over-torquing aluminum standoffs, as the material is softer than steel and threads can be damaged by excessive force.
