The ELECTRO HARDWARE MMF1817M09F16M4 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise spacing between stacked PCBs or between a circuit board and a mounting surface. Machined from 303 stainless steel with a bright uncoated finish, this standoff meets the QQ-S-763 fastener standard. It features an M4 x 0.7 thread on both the male and female ends, a 6 mm width across flats for standard hex tooling, and an overall length of 22.53 mm (approximately 0.888 inches). The hex body length is 13.00 mm (approximately 0.512 inches). Electronics assembly technicians and PCB assembly professionals are the primary installers of this hardware.
This standoff is used in electronics enclosure assembly, PCB stacking applications, and control board mounting in commercial and industrial settings. The male end threads into a mating female standoff or threaded insert, while the female end accepts a machine screw from the next board in the stack. Typical applications include control panel assemblies, HVAC control board mounting, and instrumentation enclosures where metric M4 hardware is specified. The stainless steel construction makes it suitable for environments with moderate corrosion exposure.
Designed for use in metric M4 x 0.7 PCB stacking and circuit board mounting applications where QQ-S-763 compliant stainless steel standoff hardware is required.
Installation is typically performed by electronics assembly technicians or field service engineers working on control boards and enclosures. Ensure the mating board, insert, or standoff is fully de-energized and discharged before installing or removing standoffs. Use a 6 mm hex driver or wrench for proper engagement; avoid pliers or tools that may damage the hex flats or contaminate the board surface. Apply only hand-tight torque appropriate for M4 stainless hardware and follow any applicable IPC assembly standards for the enclosure or board type being serviced.
