Installation requires a properly sized punch or drill to produce a 0.413-inch mounting hole before pressing the nut into the panel. A bench press, arbor press, or hydraulic press with the correct anvil is the standard tool for clinching; do not attempt to install by hammer strike, as this can deform the head or damage the thread. Verify that the host panel meets the 0.056-inch minimum thickness specification before pressing to ensure adequate material displacement and pull-out resistance. Disconnect and de-energize any panel or enclosure before performing fastener installation work on live equipment.
