The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1459M12F21-632 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create fixed spacing between PCBs, panels, or mounting surfaces in electrical and electronic assemblies. The standoff features a 6-32 thread size with a male thread on one end and a female threaded bore on the other, allowing stackable mounting configurations. The body measures 1.25 inches in length with an overall length of 1.5 inches and a hex width across flats of 0.25 inches. Constructed from Grade 2 steel with a zinc-plated finish meeting ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-S-633 standards, it provides corrosion resistance suitable for light industrial and commercial electronics enclosures.
This standoff is used in circuit board mounting applications where consistent, rigid spacing is required between board layers or between a board and an enclosure panel. It is commonly installed during assembly of control panels, HVAC control boards, electrical enclosures, and similar equipment. The male-female configuration allows multiple standoffs to be threaded together or used with standard machine screws for secure PCB retention. Electricians, electronics technicians, and panel builders typically handle installation in both residential and commercial contexts.
Designed as a standard 6-32 male-female hex standoff for use in circuit board mounting applications requiring a 1.5-inch overall length and 0.25-inch hex width across flats in inch-measurement assemblies.
Installation is performed by electricians, electronics technicians, or panel assembly personnel. De-energize all circuits and discharge any stored voltage before working inside an enclosure. Use an appropriate hex wrench or nut driver sized for the 0.25-inch width across flats to tighten the standoff without over-torquing the threaded bore. Follow applicable NEC guidelines for control panel wiring clearances when positioning board standoffs within an enclosure.
