The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1361M12F21256 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to create precise spacing between PCBs, mounting panels, and chassis surfaces in electronic assemblies. The standoff features a 2-56 thread on both the male and female ends, an overall body length of 2 inches, and a hexagonal cross-section measuring 3/16 inches across the flats. It is manufactured from steel with a zinc plating that meets ASTM B633 Type 1 and QQ-S-633 standards, providing corrosion resistance suitable for indoor electronic enclosures. Electronics assemblers, control board technicians, and field service pros use this hardware when stacking or mounting PCBs in HVAC control panels, electrical enclosures, and similar equipment.
This standoff is used in residential and commercial electronic assemblies where a threaded male post on one end and a threaded female receptacle on the other end are needed to stack boards at a fixed 2-inch separation. Typical applications include control board mounting inside HVAC units, variable-frequency drive enclosures, relay panels, and other industrial or trade equipment that uses PCB-mounted circuitry. The hex body allows for wrench tightening to a secure, consistent installation without spinning the standoff during assembly.
Designed as a standard 2-56 male-female hex standoff for use in any PCB or panel mounting application that requires a 2-inch board separation and accepts 2-56 threaded fasteners.
Installation is performed by electronics assemblers or control board technicians during panel build or field board replacement. Power down and de-energize all circuits in the enclosure before handling any circuit board hardware. Use an appropriately sized hex wrench or nutdriver on the hex body to tighten securely without over-torquing the small-diameter threads. Ensure mating PCB holes are clear and threads are not cross-threaded before applying force.
