The ELECTRO HARDWARE 1303M09F16440 is a male-female hex circuit board standoff designed to space and secure printed circuit boards within electronic enclosures. Machined from 303-grade stainless steel with a passivated finish, this standoff meets QQ-S-763 federal specification for corrosion resistance and cleanliness. It features a 4-40 unified thread and a hexagonal body measuring 3/16 inches across the flats and 3/16 inches in body length. The male-female configuration allows standoffs to be stacked or used as a single spacer between a PCB and a mounting surface. Typically installed by electronics technicians, panel builders, and control board assemblers.
This standoff is suited for use in control panels, HVAC circuit board assemblies, electrical enclosures, and other applications where a PCB must be elevated and mechanically secured away from a mounting surface. The compact 3/16-inch overall length makes it appropriate for tight PCB stack spacing in residential and light commercial control board assemblies. The passivated stainless steel construction resists corrosion in environments where moisture or chemical exposure is a factor.
Designed for use with 4-40 threaded circuit board mounting holes in standard PCB assemblies requiring a 3/16-inch standoff height.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electronics or panel assembly technician. De-energize all circuits before working on any control board or panel assembly. Use the appropriate hex driver or nut driver sized to the 3/16-inch width across flats to avoid fastener damage. Do not overtighten, as stainless steel fasteners are susceptible to galling when excessive torque is applied without lubrication.
