The ELECTRI-FLEX 80164 is a Type EF general-purpose liquidtight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) designed for routing and protecting electrical conductors in wet, damp, or oily environments. Constructed from galvanized steel with a gray PVC jacket, it provides a reliable moisture barrier while maintaining the flexibility needed to navigate tight routing paths. The 2-inch trade size coil ships as a 100-foot continuous length, reducing field splicing. With a minimum bend radius of 5.5 inches and a temperature rating of -20 to 80 degrees C, it suits a wide range of commercial and industrial wiring applications where rigid conduit is impractical.
This conduit is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where wiring must transition from rigid conduit to equipment such as motors, compressors, HVAC units, pumps, and control panels. The liquidtight jacket makes it appropriate for outdoor equipment connections, machine tool wiring, and any location subject to coolants, moisture, or washdown conditions. Licensed electricians install it in compliance with NEC Article 350 requirements for LFMC installations.
Designed for use with standard 2-inch trade-size LFMC fittings and connectors. Compatible with liquidtight connectors listed to UL 514B for Type LFMC conduit in general-purpose electrical installations per NEC Article 350.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 350 and applicable local electrical codes. De-energize all circuits before cutting, connecting, or terminating conduit runs. Use fittings listed specifically for liquidtight flexible metal conduit to maintain the moisture seal at termination points. Avoid over-bending below the minimum bend radius, as this can damage the jacket and reduce mechanical protection.
