The ELECTRI-FLEX 80152 is a Type EF general-purpose liquidtight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) designed to protect electrical wiring in wet, oily, or vibration-prone environments. Constructed from galvanized steel with a gray PVC jacket, it provides a durable, moisture-resistant raceway suitable for branch circuit wiring connections to motors, compressors, and other equipment. The conduit ships in a 50-foot coil and features an inside diameter ranging from 1.575 to 1.6 inches and an outside diameter ranging from 1.865 to 1.9 inches. A 4.5-inch minimum bend radius allows for controlled routing around obstructions without kinking or collapsing the core. The temperature rating of -20 to 80 degrees C makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations in most commercial and industrial environments.
This conduit is used in commercial and industrial electrical installations where a flexible, liquid-resistant raceway is required at the final connection point between rigid conduit and equipment. Typical applications include motor terminations, HVAC equipment connections, pump enclosures, and compressor hookups. The 1-1/2 inch trade size accommodates a range of conductor fill configurations per NEC table allowances. Electricians and electrical contractors install this product in both new construction and retrofit scenarios where conduit flexibility and moisture protection are required simultaneously.
Designed as a general-purpose liquidtight flexible metal conduit for use with standard 1-1/2 inch trade-size LFMC fittings and connectors in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 350 governing liquidtight flexible metal conduit. De-energize all circuits and verify absence of voltage before making conduit connections at equipment terminations. Use listed 1-1/2 inch LFMC fittings rated for the installation environment — liquid-tight connectors must be fully tightened to maintain the jacket seal. Avoid sharp bends below the minimum bend radius and secure the conduit with listed supports at intervals required by the applicable code.
