The ELECTRI-FLEX 80132 is a Type EF gray liquidtight flexible steel conduit rated for installations where motion, vibration, and bending are routine service conditions. Manufactured from steel, this conduit ships in a 100-foot carton at a 1-inch trade size with a minimum bend radius of 3 inches. The liquidtight construction provides solid mechanical protection and moisture resistance for enclosed conductors, making it a practical choice for equipment connections, machine tool wiring, and similar trade applications. It is a competitive-grade alternative to Type LT conduit and is intended for a wide range of flexible conduit needs in both new construction and retrofit work.
Type EF conduit is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial installations where flexibility is required at motor terminations, HVAC equipment connections, pump installations, and other locations subject to movement or vibration. The 100-foot coil allows installers to cut to length on the job, minimizing waste across multiple connections on a single service call or project. Note that this conduit is non-UL listed and should be specified accordingly when UL listing is required by local code or authority having jurisdiction.
Designed as a flexible liquidtight conduit for use with standard 1-inch liquidtight fittings in equipment and machinery wiring applications where conduit flexibility is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local amendments. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before making terminations. Use compatible 1-inch liquidtight conduit fittings to maintain the moisture protection of the assembly. Verify with the authority having jurisdiction whether a non-UL listed conduit is acceptable for the specific installation before proceeding.
