The ELECTRI-FLEX 27105 is a Type LA-17 liquidtight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) designed for wiring applications that require both flexibility and protection against liquids, oils, and contaminants. Built from hot-dipped galvanized steel with a gray thermoplastic jacket, this conduit carries a 2-1/2 trade size with an inside diameter ranging from 2.48 to 2.505 inches and an outside diameter ranging from 2.84 to 2.875 inches. It ships on a 275-foot reel, making it well suited for commercial and industrial runs where longer continuous lengths reduce coupling frequency. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers of this conduit type.
Type LA-17 LFMC is commonly used in commercial, industrial, and light manufacturing environments where conduit must route through tight spaces, connect to vibrating equipment, or terminate at motor connections, HVAC units, pumps, and other machinery. The liquidtight jacket provides resistance to water and common industrial fluids, making it appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations where moisture exposure is a factor. The 275-foot reel length supports larger projects requiring extended continuous runs.
Designed as an OEM-style liquidtight flexible metal conduit for use with standard 2-1/2 trade size LFMC fittings and connectors in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), particularly Article 350 governing liquidtight flexible metal conduit. De-energize all circuits before cutting, terminating, or connecting conduit sections. Use appropriate LFMC fittings rated for the 2-1/2 trade size to maintain the liquidtight integrity of the assembly. Avoid kinking the conduit during installation, as sharp bends can compromise both the jacket seal and the internal diameter.
