The EKLIND TOOL CO 14216 is a long-arm hex L key designed to drive internal hexagon socket fasteners, commonly called allen head fasteners. It features a 1/4 inch hex size with a long arm measuring 5.25 inches and a short arm measuring 1.12 inches. The tool is forged from Eklind Alloy Steel that is heat treated, quenched, and tempered to deliver optimum strength, torque, and ductility. A rust-resistant finish protects the tool in demanding shop or field conditions. This is a hand tool suited for mechanical tradespeople, HVAC technicians, electricians, and plumbers who regularly encounter socket-head fasteners during equipment installation and service.
The 14216 is well suited for applications where a standard short-arm key cannot generate adequate reach or swing clearance. The extended long arm allows deeper access into confined spaces, while the short arm serves as a handle for applying higher torque. Typical uses include tightening and loosening set screws, panel fasteners, motor mounts, and equipment covers found in HVAC units, pump assemblies, and electrical enclosures. This tool is sold in a unit of measure of each (EA) and is packaged in quantities of 6.
Designed for use with any 1/4 inch internal hexagon socket fastener across a wide range of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment applications.
This tool is used by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and general mechanical trades for fastener driving during equipment installation and service. Always de-energize and lock out electrical equipment before using hand tools on or near live panels or terminals. Ensure the correct hex size is fully seated in the fastener socket before applying torque to avoid rounding the socket.
