The EKLIND 18603 is a 1.5 mm metric ball end hex key built for technicians and tradespeople who need reliable access to fasteners in tight or angled spaces. The long arm L-handle design gives the user leverage on the short arm and reach on the long arm, making it well suited for driving or loosening socket head cap screws in confined installations. The ball end allows engagement at up to 30 degrees off-axis, which is essential when a straight-line approach to the fastener is not possible. The key is constructed from alloy steel with a black handle, delivering the durability expected in daily trade use.
This hex key is used across HVAC, refrigeration, electrical panel, and mechanical equipment installation and service work wherever 1.5 mm metric socket head fasteners are present. It is common in equipment cover removal, motor mount adjustment, and control bracket fastening on residential and light commercial systems. The long arm overall length of 3-1/32 inches keeps it compact enough for tool pouches while still providing useful torque leverage on the L-handle grip.
Designed as a standard replacement or addition to metric hex key sets for use with 1.5 mm socket head fasteners across HVAC, mechanical, and electrical equipment applications.
This tool is installed by hand without additional equipment. When using the ball end for angled access, apply moderate and controlled force to avoid stripping the fastener socket. For full torque applications, engage the fastener straight-on using the flat end of the key on the long arm. Keep hex keys clean and inspect for wear or rounding before use on critical fasteners.
