The EDX tube-5/8x50 is a 5/8-inch copper tube roll supplied in a 50-foot bulk coil, used in refrigeration, air conditioning, and plumbing distribution systems. Copper tubing at this diameter is a standard line-set and branch-circuit size in light commercial and residential HVAC work. The soft-drawn coil format allows field bending without a tubing bender for most gentle radius changes, reducing fittings and potential leak points. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers of this product.
This copper tube coil is suited for residential and light commercial refrigerant line sets, hydronic distribution branches, fuel oil supply lines, and potable water distribution where local code permits copper. The 50-foot coil length is practical for single-system line runs and minimizes job-site waste. The 5/8-inch outside diameter is a common size for suction-line applications on smaller residential split systems and for general plumbing branch lines.
Designed as a general-purpose copper tube coil for use in residential and light commercial HVAC refrigerant line sets, plumbing systems, and hydronic applications where 5/8-inch outside diameter copper tubing is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or refrigeration mechanic in accordance with applicable local codes, ASHRAE standards, and the International Plumbing Code or International Mechanical Code as relevant. Isolate and recover any refrigerant charge before connecting or disconnecting refrigerant lines, and shut off water supply before working on potable or hydronic systems. Use a clean tubing cutter rather than a hacksaw to produce a square, burr-free cut, and ream the end fully before swaging or flaring. Avoid kinking the coil during unrolling by unreeling from the outside of the coil.
