The EDWARDS SIGNALING E102A is a 24 VDC electronic tone sounder designed for use in audible signaling and alerting applications. It produces a steady electronic tone output at 80 decibels measured at 10 feet, drawing only 0.018 amps during operation. The E102A is compact in form, with an overall width of 1.64 inches and an overall height of 1.75 inches, making it suitable for space-constrained enclosures and panel installations. Electricians and low-voltage signaling technicians install this device as part of industrial, commercial, or facility alarm and notification systems.
The E102A is intended for indoor, non-hazardous environments. It is not rated for explosion-proof or weatherproof installations and does not use a vibrating mechanism — it produces its alert tone electronically. Typical installations include control panels, equipment enclosures, machine guarding systems, and building alert circuits where a low-current, compact tone sounder is required at 24 VDC.
Designed as an OEM-style electronic tone sounder for 24 VDC audible signaling circuits in commercial and industrial control panel applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified low-voltage technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Disconnect and de-energize the circuit before wiring or mounting the device. Verify that the supply voltage is steady 24 VDC and that the source power supply is rated to handle the additional current load. Do not install in locations exposed to moisture, outdoor elements, or classified hazardous atmospheres, as this unit is not rated for weatherproof or explosion-proof use.
