The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC PSW-160 is a low voltage cable staple designed for securing bell wire, speaker wire, telephone wire, and other small-gauge cabling in residential and light commercial wiring applications. Each staple features a polyethylene saddle and a single zinc-plated nail. The saddle material will not rust, rot, or deteriorate over time. The zinc-plated nail resists rust and corrosion for long-term holding performance. This pack contains 100 staples, sized at 3/16 inches, and is compatible with 22 to 18 AWG wire. The white finish blends with standard interior trim and baseboard work.
These cable staples are used wherever low voltage wiring needs to be routed and fastened cleanly along walls, baseboards, door frames, or ceiling lines. Common applications include thermostat wire runs, doorbell wiring, speaker wire installation, and telephone line drops. Electricians, low voltage technicians, and HVAC installers routinely use staples of this type when dressing control wiring or signal cables during new construction and retrofit work. The 100-pack format supports larger jobs or stocking the service van.
Designed for use with bell wire, speaker wire, and telephone wire in the 22 to 18 AWG range. Suitable as a general-purpose low voltage cable staple for residential and light commercial wiring installations.
Low voltage cable staples of this type are typically installed by electricians or low voltage technicians working under applicable NEC low voltage wiring guidelines. Drive the nail flush without over-driving, as excess force can deform the saddle and pinch or damage the cable jacket. Ensure the wire is routed and positioned correctly before fastening, as removal can damage both the staple and the wire insulation.
