The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC PSB-160 is a low-voltage cable staple designed to secure bell wire, speaker wire, telephone wire, and similar small-gauge conductors to walls, baseboards, and framing. Each staple features a single-nail design that drives cleanly without pinching or damaging the insulation on 22 to 18 AWG cable. The staples measure 3/16 inches in width and are finished in black, making them a discreet fastening choice in finished spaces. This pack contains 100 staples, providing enough hardware for a full residential wiring run. Electricians and low-voltage technicians are the primary installers.
These staples are suited for residential and light commercial low-voltage wiring applications. Typical installations include doorbell circuits, structured wiring runs, telephone extensions, and in-wall or surface-mounted speaker cable. The 3/16-inch size is matched to the cable diameters commonly found in 22 to 18 AWG low-voltage wire. The black finish blends with dark trim and conduit in finished living areas. The clam pack format keeps staples organized and ready for use on the job.
Designed for use with bell wire, speaker wire, and telephone wire in the 22 to 18 AWG range. Suitable as a low-voltage cable staple for residential and light commercial wiring installations.
Low-voltage staple installation is typically performed by electricians or low-voltage technicians following NEC Article 800 and related low-voltage wiring guidelines. De-energize any active circuits in the work area before stapling near existing wiring. Drive each staple straight and firm enough to hold the cable snugly against the surface without compressing the jacket. Avoid over-driving, which can damage insulation and degrade signal quality.
