The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC PS-75 is a plastic non-metallic cable staple designed to secure 3/4-inch non-metallic (NM) and underground feeder (UF) cable to wood framing and structural members. Each bag contains 50 staples, making it a convenient quantity for residential wiring runs. The plastic construction avoids the conductivity concerns associated with metal staples when fastening non-metallic sheathed cable. Electricians use these staples during rough-in wiring to meet NEC cable support requirements for NM and UF cable installations.
This staple is suited for residential and light commercial electrical work where 3-conductor NM or UF cable must be fastened at regular intervals along joists, studs, and plates. Typical applications include branch circuit wiring in new construction and remodel projects. The 50-count bag format supports staging staples across multiple work areas on a job site without carrying bulk packaging.
Designed for use with 3-conductor non-metallic sheathed cable and underground feeder cable sized to fit a 3/4-inch staple opening.
Staples are installed by licensed electricians during rough-in phases of residential and light commercial projects. NEC guidelines require NM cable to be secured at specific intervals and within set distances of boxes and enclosures — consult the current NEC edition for exact spacing requirements. Drive staples firmly against the cable without crushing the sheathing, as over-driving can damage the cable insulation. Always de-energize circuits and follow lockout/tagout procedures before working near existing wiring.
