The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC PPR-1550 is a rubber insulated steel pipe clamp designed to secure tubing and piping in mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC installations. Each pack contains two single-hole clamps with a 1/2 inch inside diameter, providing a snug, vibration-dampening grip around the pipe or tube. The rubber lining protects the pipe surface from abrasion and reduces noise transmission through the structure. These clamps are packaged in a clamshell for easy storage and jobsite handling. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters use this style of clamp for routing copper, plastic, or metal tubing through framing, hangers, and support brackets.
The PPR-1550 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where insulated pipe support is required. Typical installations include water supply lines, refrigerant tubing, and small-diameter mechanical piping that must be anchored to wall studs, floor joists, or structural members. The rubber insulation layer also provides a measure of electrical isolation between the steel clamp body and the pipe, which is useful in mixed-material piping systems. Each unit is sold as a 2-pack, and the package quantity per case is 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard fitment for 1/2 inch outside-diameter pipe and tubing in residential and light commercial mechanical systems.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or pipefitters in accordance with applicable local mechanical and plumbing codes. Secure the clamp to a structural member using an appropriate fastener for the substrate, ensuring the pipe is fully seated within the rubber-lined channel before tightening. Do not overtighten, as excessive force can compress the rubber liner and restrict the pipe. Always confirm the clamp inside diameter matches the outside diameter of the pipe being supported before installation.
