The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC LTS-400 is a rubber-based spray electrical tape designed to insulate, seal, and protect electrical conductors and connections. Dispensed from a 6 oz aerosol can, it applies a flexible black coating at 5 to 7 mils per coat with a dielectric strength of 200 volts per mil. The rubber-based formula stays flexible after cure and will not harden, unravel, or become brittle in extreme weather conditions, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor service environments. Electricians, utility technicians, and field service pros use it where conventional roll tape is impractical or where a continuous, void-free coating is required over complex or irregular geometry.
The LTS-400 is well suited for long-run or large-scale applications where roll tape application is time-consuming or inconsistent. Typical use cases include insulating cables, electronics, outdoor lighting circuits, underground wiring, alarm and security system wiring, and utility trailer electrical connections. The waterproof coating provides environmental protection in addition to electrical insulation, making it appropriate for exposed or buried conductors subject to moisture, UV, and temperature cycling. Sold in a package quantity of 6 cans per unit of measure.
Designed as a general-purpose spray insulating coating for use on low-voltage cables, splices, connectors, and exposed wiring in residential, commercial, and utility applications where conventional electrical tape is not practical.
De-energize all circuits before applying spray electrical tape and verify with a meter that conductors are at zero voltage. Shake the can thoroughly before use and apply in smooth, even passes to build the desired mil thickness per coat. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and ensure adequate ventilation when spraying in enclosed spaces. Verify that the cured coating meets the dielectric requirements of the specific application before re-energizing.
