The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC GSE-105 is a plastic SEU cable staple designed to secure service entrance utility (SEU) cable along framing, joists, and structural surfaces. Each staple features two drive nails for a secure, two-point fastening pattern that keeps cable properly supported and aligned during and after installation. Sold in a five-pack, the GSE-105 is sized for No. 6 SEU cable. This type of staple is a standard consumable on residential electrical service work and is typically installed by licensed electricians during service entrance wiring or cable routing tasks.
This staple is used in residential electrical installations where SEU cable must be mechanically supported at regular intervals as required by the NEC. Common applications include routing cable from a meter base to a load center or securing service conductors along exterior or interior framing. The plastic construction resists corrosion and avoids conductor damage that can occur with metal fasteners. Each pack contains five staples, making it practical for single-run jobs or as a supplemental quantity on larger projects.
Designed as an OEM-style cable staple for use with No. 6 SEU cable in residential electrical service entrance installations.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for cable support intervals. De-energize all conductors and confirm the service entrance is isolated before securing or adjusting any SEU cable. Drive nails should be fully seated into the substrate using a hammer, taking care not to over-drive and compress or damage the cable jacket. Maintain support spacing consistent with the applicable NEC article governing service entrance conductors.
