The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC EFT-50B is a 50-foot economy fish tape designed for pulling wire and cable through conduit, walls, and other confined pathways. Built with a 0.125-inch wide, 0.045-gauge steel tape, it provides the stiffness needed to navigate runs without kinking or binding. The steel case protects the tape during storage and transport and doubles as a reel for controlled payout and retrieval. This tool is a standard in the kit of licensed electricians and apprentices handling residential and light commercial rough-in work.
The EFT-50B suits typical residential and light commercial electrical installations where wire needs to be fed through finished walls, conduit runs, and ceiling cavities. The 50-foot length handles the majority of standard branch-circuit pulls without requiring tape extensions. It is a practical choice for electricians who need a dependable, no-frills fish tape for everyday service calls and new construction work.
Designed as a general-purpose fish tape compatible with standard electrical conduit pull applications in residential and light commercial installations.
Fish tape is installed and operated by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC guidelines for wire-pulling practices. Always de-energize circuits before pulling wire through any pathway where live conductors may be present. Feed the tape leader-end first and avoid forcing the tape around tight bends, which can kink or permanently deform the steel. Wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, when handling steel fish tape to prevent cuts from the tape edges.
