The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC DS-110N is a duct seal compound plug designed to fill and protect gaps, holes, and conduit openings in electrical and mechanical installations. The compound stays pliable under normal conditions, meaning it will not harden or form a skin over time. It is non-conductive, non-toxic, and non-deteriorating, making it safe to handle and suitable for use in occupied buildings. Licensed electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers commonly use duct seal compound when routing conduit through walls, floors, and penetrations that require a reliable, long-lasting air and moisture barrier.
The DS-110N is well suited for sealing conduit entries at meter bases, junction boxes, LB conduit bodies, and wall penetrations in both residential and light commercial settings. The compound effectively blocks dust, moisture, drafts, and noise transmission through conduit openings and building envelope penetrations. Each package contains 9 units, making it a practical quantity for service trucks and job-site inventory.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use duct seal compound compatible with LB conduit bodies and general conduit penetration sealing applications in electrical and mechanical installations.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit sealing at building penetrations. Ensure the conduit opening is clean and free of debris before applying the compound. No power-down is required for the sealing step itself, but always de-energize any circuit before working inside conduit bodies or enclosures. Do not use as a fire-stop compound where a listed firestop system is required by code.
