The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC AMT-116 is a yellow nylon-insulated spade terminal designed for secure, reliable wire-to-screw connections in electrical and low-voltage wiring applications. Sold in a 3-pack, each terminal accommodates 12-10 AWG wire and fits a No. 8 stud or screw size. The nylon insulation sleeve provides mechanical protection at the termination point and helps resist vibration-induced loosening. These terminals are UL Listed, making them appropriate for use in code-compliant installations across residential and light commercial electrical, HVAC control wiring, and panel work.
The AMT-116 is suited for field wiring tasks where a fast, tool-crimped spade connection is preferred over a ring terminal or bare wire. Typical applications include control board wiring, ground connections, and branch circuit terminations in HVAC equipment, appliance service, and general electrical work. The 12-10 AWG range covers common wire gauges used in 20-amp and 30-amp circuits. The 3-pack format is useful for single-point repairs or small jobs where a full bulk bag is not needed.
Designed as a standard spade terminal for use with 12-10 AWG wire on No. 8 screw and stud connections in residential and light commercial electrical and HVAC control wiring applications.
Spade terminals of this type are installed by licensed electricians and qualified HVAC technicians. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating any wire. Use a ratcheting or calibrated crimping tool sized for insulated terminals to ensure a mechanically sound crimp — do not rely on pliers or non-calibrated tools. Verify the finished connection meets applicable NEC requirements for the circuit type and ampacity.
