The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC 79-600 is a dielectric silicone terminal compound supplied in a 1/3 oz single-use packet. This grease-type compound is applied to electrical terminals, connectors, and contact points to create a moisture-resistant barrier. The silicone dielectric formula prevents corrosion at connection points and reduces the risk of short circuits caused by moisture intrusion. It is a standard service consumable used by electricians, HVAC technicians, and automotive electrical techs during terminal service, splice work, and connector maintenance. Each package includes 5 individual units.
This compound is suited for use in residential and commercial electrical and HVAC service applications where terminals, connectors, or splices are exposed to moisture, humidity, or corrosive environments. Common install scenarios include outdoor disconnect boxes, underground splice kits, panel terminations, and weatherproof connector assemblies. The individual packet format makes it practical for field service kits and service vans.
Designed as a general-purpose dielectric terminal compound compatible with standard electrical connectors, terminals, and splice points across residential and commercial electrical and HVAC service applications.
Apply this compound to terminals and connectors after de-energizing the circuit and verifying zero voltage with a meter. Follow NEC guidelines for the circuit type being serviced. Apply a thin, even coat to the terminal contact area before mating the connector. Avoid over-application, which can migrate into adjacent components.
