The ECM INDUSTRIES LLC 21-109 is an insulated, solderless ring terminal designed for secure, vibration-resistant electrical connections in trade and service applications. Rated for 12-10 AWG wire, these terminals accept stud sizes from 7/16 to 1/2 inch. The insulated barrel protects the crimp joint from abrasion and incidental contact, while the solderless design allows fast field installation with a standard crimping tool. Each pack contains 7 terminals and arrives in a resealable clamshell package, keeping unused terminals organized between service calls. Electricians and HVAC technicians reach for terminals like these when landing control wiring, grounding conductors, or making panel connections.
These ring terminals are suited for residential and light commercial electrical work, HVAC control panels, equipment grounding, and general low-voltage and line-voltage terminations where a secure, loop-style connection to a threaded stud or bolt is required. The 12-10 AWG range covers common equipment wire gauges used in furnace control circuits, condensing unit wiring, and panel feeders. The resealable packaging makes the 21-109 a practical addition to a service van stock.
Designed as a general-purpose insulated ring terminal for use with 12-10 AWG conductors and 7/16 to 1/2 inch threaded studs or bolts in electrical, HVAC, and related trade applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Always de-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before making or breaking any terminal connection. Use a ratcheting or calibrated crimping tool sized for the terminal barrel to ensure a gas-tight crimp. Do not solder over a crimped insulated terminal, as heat can damage the insulation barrel and compromise the connection.
