The ECLIPSE N153/MSC is a neodymium rare earth block magnet rated for a maximum pull force of 43.9 pounds. The magnet measures 1 inch long by 1 inch wide by 0.5 inches high, making it a compact, high-strength unit suited for industrial, trade, and maintenance applications. Neodymium magnets deliver significantly higher magnetic force per unit of mass compared to ceramic or alnico types, which is why this form factor is widely used in fixturing, retrieval, and assembly tasks. The N153/MSC is rated for a maximum operating temperature of 248 degrees F, keeping it serviceable in warm mechanical environments. Electricians, HVAC technicians, machinists, and general tradespeople commonly keep block magnets of this type in their service kits.
This magnet is well suited for light industrial and trade service environments where a compact, high-pull-force magnet is needed without bulk. Common uses include holding metal components during assembly, retrieving dropped fasteners or tools in confined spaces, magnetic fixturing on ferrous surfaces, and organization of metal parts in service vehicles or shops. Its block geometry allows flat-face contact against ferrous surfaces, maximizing the rated pull force. At 0.11 pounds, it adds negligible weight to a tool bag or service kit.
Designed as a general-purpose neodymium block magnet for use on ferrous metal surfaces in industrial, mechanical, and trade service applications.
Handle neodymium magnets with care — the pull force rating means fingers and skin can be pinched if two magnets or a magnet and a ferrous surface come together quickly. Keep away from magnetic media, pacemakers, and sensitive electronic components. No tools or fasteners are required for most retrieval and fixturing uses, but use a non-ferrous wedge or spacer when separating the magnet from a surface to avoid cracking the magnet body.
