The EATON SL-20PK4 is a medium-duty, time-delay plug fuse rated at 20 amps and 125 volts AC, sold in a 4-pack. It uses a loaded link design with a rejection base that physically prevents installation of a higher-amperage fuse, reducing the risk of overcurrent damage and code violations. The extra-large clear window provides immediate visual indication of a blown fuse without removing it from the socket. Rated at 10,000 amperes interrupting capacity (AIC), it is UL listed and suited for residential branch circuits that include inductive loads such as motors, relays, and solenoids.
This fuse is designed for residential branch circuits in kitchens, garages, and utility rooms where electric motors, relays, or solenoids are present. The time-delay characteristic allows motors to draw startup inrush current without nuisance blowing while still protecting the circuit from sustained overcurrent conditions. Electricians and qualified electrical contractors typically install these fuses in standard Edison-base rejection fuse panels as part of service upgrades or direct replacement work.
Designed as a direct replacement for standard SL-type rejection-base plug fuse holders in residential fuse panels where time-delay protection is required for motor, relay, and solenoid circuits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Always shut off power at the main disconnect before servicing a fuse panel. Verify the circuit voltage and amperage match the fuse rating before installation. Do not bypass or substitute a fuse of a different amperage or style for this position.
