The EATON NON-450 is a 450-amp, 250-volt Class H one-time cartridge fuse designed for branch circuit and feeder protection in industrial, commercial, and residential electrical systems. Class H fuses provide overcurrent protection by interrupting fault current before downstream components are damaged. The NON-450 is a non-renewable fuse, meaning it must be replaced after a fault event rather than re-fused. At 2.68 pounds, this is a substantial fuse intended for high-amperage applications. Licensed electricians and maintenance electricians are the primary installers of this product.
The NON-450 is suited for use in disconnect switches, motor circuits, distribution panels, and industrial equipment where 250-volt, 450-amp overcurrent protection is required. Typical applications include large motor branch circuits, HVAC equipment disconnects, and industrial feeder protection. Class H fuses are widely used where high-fault-current interrupting capacity is not required and circuit conditions are well-controlled.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class H cartridge fuse holders and disconnect switches rated for 450-amp, 250-volt service.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for overcurrent protection devices. Always de-energize and verify the absence of voltage using a calibrated meter before handling or replacing any fuse. Use appropriately rated fuse pullers and insulated tools when servicing Class H fuse holders. Never substitute a higher-amperage fuse to restore service without first identifying and correcting the fault condition.
