The EATON NON-20 is a 20-amp, 250-volt general-purpose cartridge fuse designed for one-time, non-current-limiting applications. It carries a Class K5 rating with a 50,000 ampere interrupting rating (AIR) and features ferrule ends for standard cartridge fuse holders. This is a non-time-delay fuse, meaning it opens quickly on overcurrent without intentional lag. Electricians and maintenance technicians install it in lighting circuits, main panel protection applications, and branch circuits that do not serve large electric motor loads. UL listed to Class K5 standards.
The NON-20 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical systems where a straightforward, non-time-delay overcurrent protective device is required. Typical applications include lighting branch circuits, feeder protection in main distribution panels, and general branch circuits free of significant inductive motor loads. Its ferrule-end construction fits standard fusible disconnect switches and panel-mount fuse holders rated for Class K5 cartridge fuses at 250 volts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 20-amp, 250-volt Class K5 ferrule-end cartridge fuse holders used in non-current-limiting lighting and general-purpose branch circuit applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Always de-energize and lockout/tagout the circuit before removing or installing a fuse. Use an appropriately rated fuse puller when servicing cartridge fuses in panel-mount or disconnect-style holders. Do not install this non-time-delay fuse on circuits serving large motor loads, as nuisance opening may occur on motor inrush current.
