The EATON N225ZN is a steel strut channel nut designed for use with 1/2 inch-13 threaded rod in standard strut channel framing systems. This nut without spring seats directly into the channel and is torqued to lock in place, resisting both pullout and slip loads in static and dynamic support applications. It features an electro-plated zinc finish for corrosion resistance in light-duty indoor environments. Rated at 250 pounds pullout strength and 1500 pounds slip strength, the N225ZN is suited for pipe hangers, cable tray supports, mechanical equipment mounts, and general structural framing assemblies installed by electricians, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors.
This channel nut is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications wherever B-Line series or compatible strut channel is specified. Typical installations include HVAC duct and equipment support, electrical conduit and cable tray hangers, plumbing pipe support, and unistrut-style framing systems. The 1/2 inch-13 thread size accommodates standard threaded rod used throughout mechanical and electrical trade work.
Designed for use with EATON B-Line series strut channel and all threaded rod applications using 1/2 inch-13 thread size.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians, pipefitters, or mechanical contractors as part of a channel framing assembly. Insert the nut into the strut channel slot and rotate 90 degrees to engage the channel flanges before threading the rod and tightening. Follow applicable NEC, IPC, or IFGC support spacing requirements for the system being suspended. Do not exceed the rated pullout or slip load values for the application.
