The EATON hom120 is a single-pole miniature circuit breaker rated for 120 volts and 20 amps, designed for residential electrical panel applications. It provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection for branch circuits in loadcenters and distribution panels. The hom120 is a plug-on style breaker built to fit Homeline-compatible loadcenters. Licensed electricians install this breaker as part of new construction wiring or panel upgrades. Its compact single-pole form factor fits standard residential panelboards where space and ampacity requirements call for a 20-amp branch circuit device.
The hom120 is intended for residential loadcenter installations where 20-amp, 120-volt branch circuit protection is required. Typical applications include general-purpose lighting circuits, receptacle circuits, and small-appliance branch circuits in single-family homes, townhouses, and multi-family dwelling units. It is installed in plug-on compatible residential panelboards that accept Homeline-series breakers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for single-pole 20-amp miniature circuit breakers in Homeline-compatible residential loadcenters.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 240 and all applicable local codes. De-energize the panel at the main disconnect and verify the bus is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before handling any breaker. Seat the breaker firmly onto the bus stab until it clicks into place and torque the load wire terminal to the value specified on the panelboard label. Do not install a 20-amp breaker on wiring that is not rated for 20 amps.
