The EATON H1115 is a heater element designed for use with Type ST and BNC overload relays in motor control applications. Heater elements set the thermal trip threshold for overload relays, protecting motors from sustained overcurrent conditions that cause winding damage. The H1115 is a compact component installed inside the overload relay assembly and sized to match the full-load amperage of the motor circuit being protected. Licensed electricians and motor control technicians perform this installation as part of motor starter servicing or initial panel build-out.
This heater element is suited for industrial and commercial motor control installations where Type ST or BNC series overload relays are used. Typical applications include motor control centers, combination starters, and standalone manual or magnetic starter assemblies. The H1115 provides thermal overload protection calibrated to a specific current range, ensuring the relay trips before motor windings overheat under locked-rotor or sustained overload conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement heater element for EATON Type ST and BNC series overload relays used in motor starter and motor control center applications.
Installation of heater elements in overload relays is performed by a qualified electrician. Always de-energize and lockout/tagout the motor control panel before removing or installing heater elements, following NFPA 70E arc flash and shock hazard procedures. Verify the selected heater element current rating matches the motor full-load amperage per the relay manufacturer sizing chart before installation. Do not overtighten or force the element into the heater pocket, as this can damage the relay assembly.
