The EATON FNM-9 is a miniature time-delay (Fusetron-type) fuse rated for low-amperage branch circuit and control circuit protection. Time-delay construction allows the fuse to tolerate brief inrush currents common in motor-start and transformer-fed circuits without nuisance opening, while still interrupting sustained overloads and short circuits. The FNM series is a recognized standard in HVAC control wiring, small motor circuits, and light commercial electrical panels where a compact 13/32-inch by 1-1/2-inch form factor is required. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
The FNM-9 is suited for residential and light commercial applications including control transformer secondary circuits, fan motor branch protection, and low-voltage control panel fusing. It fits standard midget fuse holders and fuse blocks designed for the 13/32 by 1-1/2 inch body size. Rated at 9 amps and 250 volts AC, it covers a broad range of single-phase control and motor circuits found in HVAC equipment, small appliances, and industrial control panels.
Designed as a direct-replacement miniature time-delay fuse for standard midget fuse holders and fuse blocks accepting the 13/32 by 1-1/2 inch body size, commonly used in HVAC control panels, motor circuits, and light commercial electrical equipment.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before replacing a fuse. Confirm the replacement fuse matches the original ampere and voltage ratings exactly. Never substitute a higher-amperage fuse to resolve repeated blowing without first diagnosing the underlying fault.
