The EATON FH19 is a thermal overload heater element designed for use with Type A and Type B overload relays in motor control applications. It provides overcurrent protection by generating heat proportional to motor current draw, tripping the relay when current exceeds the set threshold. Licensed electricians and motor control technicians install this element as part of starter and contactor assemblies in industrial and commercial panels. The FH19 measures 2.1 inches long, 1.3 inches wide, and 0.8 inches tall, and weighs 0.03 pounds.
The EATON FH19 heater element is used in motor control centers, combination starters, and disconnect assemblies where motor overload protection is required. It is suited for both residential and light commercial mechanical systems as well as industrial motor control applications. This element is selected based on the full-load amperage rating of the motor being protected, as specified in the overload relay heater selection chart.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement heater element for EATON Type A and Type B thermal overload relays used in motor starter and contactor assemblies.
Heater elements are installed by licensed electricians following NEC requirements for motor branch circuit and overload protection. De-energize and lock out the panel or motor control center before replacing any heater element. Select the correct heater element number from the manufacturer heater selection table using the motor nameplate full-load amperage. Do not substitute heater elements with different ratings, as incorrect sizing will result in inadequate motor protection.
