The EATON EHD2100 is a molded case thermal magnetic circuit breaker designed for overcurrent protection in commercial and industrial electrical distribution systems. This breaker uses a thermal magnetic trip mechanism to protect circuits from both sustained overloads and short-circuit faults. The EHD2100 is rated at 100 amps and is built into a compact molded case housing measuring 7.4 inches long by 5.2 inches wide by 3.5 inches tall. It is installed by licensed electricians working on panelboards, switchboards, or load centers where reliable branch or feeder circuit protection is required.
The EHD2100 is suited for commercial and light industrial applications where branch or feeder circuit protection is needed in a compact form factor. Typical installations include commercial panelboards, motor control centers, and industrial distribution equipment. The molded case design makes it appropriate for use in environments where the breaker must withstand normal mechanical and thermal stress without degradation of protective performance over time.
Designed as an OEM-style molded case circuit breaker replacement for compatible commercial and industrial panelboard and switchboard applications where an EHD-frame 100-amp breaker is specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel or switchboard before beginning any breaker installation or replacement work. Verify that the bus bar rating and enclosure are compatible with the EHD-frame form factor before mounting. Do not exceed the breaker ampere rating when sizing the protected circuit conductors.
