The EATON CORPORATION GFTCB115CS is a single-pole, self-test ground fault circuit breaker rated at 15 amps and 120 volts. Designed for residential and light commercial electrical panels, it provides Class A GFCI protection by detecting ground fault currents and tripping the circuit before serious injury or equipment damage can occur. The self-test function automatically verifies GFCI circuitry at regular intervals, eliminating the need for manual button testing to confirm protection status. At 1 inch wide, it fits standard single-pole breaker slots and carries a 10,000-amp interrupting capacity. Licensed electricians install this breaker as part of NEC-compliant wiring in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, and other wet or damp locations requiring ground fault protection.
The GFTCB115CS is suited for residential and light commercial branch circuit protection where GFCI requirements apply under the National Electrical Code. Its self-test feature makes it appropriate for installations where regular manual testing may be overlooked, such as finished basements, outdoor outlets, and utility areas. The breaker is packaged in a clam shell pack and is sized for standard loadcenter installations.
Designed as a replacement or new-installation breaker for Cutler-Hammer loadcenters.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. Always shut off the main breaker and verify the panel is de-energized before removing or installing any circuit breaker. Do not exceed the breaker's rated ampacity for the connected circuit conductors. Confirm the loadcenter is listed as compatible before installation.
