The EATON C16337 is a brass flared tube union designed to join three flared tube ends in a single fitting. It accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing on all three ports via standard flare connections. Constructed from brass, the fitting provides reliable corrosion resistance in refrigerant, fuel gas, and hydraulic tubing applications. HVAC technicians and plumbers use this type of union when a three-way branch connection is required in a flared-tube circuit, particularly where vibration or thermal cycling makes compression or solder fittings less desirable.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial installations where 3/8-inch OD flared tubing is already in use. Common applications include refrigerant line branching in HVAC systems, LP or natural gas distribution in appliance hookups, and hydraulic or pneumatic tubing assemblies. It is installed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or gas-line mechanics working with flared-tube systems that require a tee-style union without cutting into existing brazed or soldered joints.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 3/8-inch OD flared tubing connections across HVAC, plumbing, and gas-line applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician, plumber, or gas-line mechanic in accordance with applicable local codes and IFGC or NEC requirements as relevant to the service fluid. Before installation, shut off and depressurize the tubing circuit completely. Flare connections must be made with properly flared tube ends; damaged or out-of-spec flares are a common source of leaks and should be re-cut before use. Do not overtighten flare nuts, as brass fittings can be damaged by excessive torque.
